Gene Kelly is probably to Musicals, what Sly was to 'The American Hero' movies .. there are only a few that can make them as good!

Set around 1927, "Singing in the rain" is a parody in its own sense, and hilariously presents the transition of American movies into "talkies". Kelly walks right into your heart with his charming face, a soothing romantic voice .. and steps to match. The song-dance sequences are to die for, the comedy - truly slapstick! :)
